I read with great interest your comments. I hope that you will receive my comments in the spirit of peace and love. It is natural that nations living in such close proximity to each other should have confrontations. Mexico lost a lot of land to the US, and there were massacres as well. Border issues are very important here too. We do not have the luxury of fighting each other any more; the island is simply too small to maintain a population that is now equal to Cuba's population, if not more. Cuba is at least twice the size of our entire island. It is good to know history, but we must look at today's realities. As a side note, Haitians love Dominicans and Dominicans love Haitians. I have a nephew who is an American born half Haitian and Half Dominican. All I know is that if anyone try to cut him in half or hurt him in any ways, they would have to do so it over my dead body.

What people dont seem to comprehend is the white flight factor that occurred during the various haitian invasions in the eastern side of the island. In 1801Toussaint Louverture invaded Santo Domingo under the alleged french banner? Many whites fled the country, mostly to Cuba. Then the racist massacres in 1805 brought upon by Jean Jacques Dessalines and Henri Christophe where many innocent whites and mulatto's were slaughtered. And although Ferrand the french governor encouraged emigration back from Cuba, Venezuela and Porto Rico from it's exiled citizens it left a bitter taste in the hearts of many dominicans. And lastly the 1822-1844 invasion and occupation led by the despot-dictator Jean Pierre Boyer, are the real roots of anti-haitian sentiment. The fact is dominican's never invaded Haiti, Haiti invaded the future Dominican Republic several times. "Who's the real problem"!!!!!

Instead of building a more stable Haiti they emigrate to nearby Dominican Republic which has its own economic problems. If the myth of a majority black population was a fact, how come the haitians did not allow the majority of white dominicans own land or even practice christianity. The claims of a black Dominican Republic is a laughable concept. Just look at this fact, for 22 years haitians ruled with an anti-white agenda. You would think that for the length of time of haitian rule the haitians will brainwash the so called majority "black People" it did not occur. There were not any atrocities done by Haitians during the liberation of the island in 1822. That is not true. All of that stuff was made up by the Fascist Trujillo regime when they re-wrote the history of the Dominican Republic in order to promote Dominican nationalism.

The Haitians rightfully expelled all of the conquisadors and took back the land that the Spanards had stolen from when they killed the Tainos. Juan Pablo Duarte and La Trinitara were racist children of slave owners and Spanards that had obtained stolen land through murder and rape; not the other way around.

Stop believing all the lies that Trujillo and Balaguer created about the "Dominican" people. In the end "dominican" is just a code word for one who hates blacks and jews.
